Still not able to map any control to trigger finger!!!

hey guys,
I must be really missing something. Here is what I'm trying to do. I've got clips loaded into audio track 1 in session view. I would like to assign my trigger fingers pads to launch those clips either by playing each scene, or the clips individually. I've got the trigger finger selected in the preference menu as the control surface. But when I'm in midi map mode, I can't assign ANYTHING to the trigger finger. The midi indicator light flashes when I touch stuff. But Ableton doesn't seem to recognize anything.

Thats because its set up wrong. Turn it off as remote control surface.
If you look below that section, you'll see your controller in a list. Turn Track input off and Remote input on.
This way the TF can be used to trigger clips instead of playing notes.
