Massive not working

i have recently bought Native Instrument's Massive synth for use with Live. i have installed the synth and loaded it up through Live. I ajusted the settings so that i got just the sound i needed and when i played it it sounded just how i wanted it to BUT... when i recorded or drew it, it sounded completely different while playback. Not how i wanted it to sound at all. Does anyone know what the problem is or what settings i need to make?

i am sorry mate but with synths there are about a billion combinations that can make em sound different from one second to the next.

if I wanted to make a super dumb guess, about, what the on the slightest chance can make a synth sound different like this I would say....

something is routed to velocity.

you might look into the possibility of what channels your midi is working on for the particular softsynth. if you have it set to "all channels" to receive midi, then perhaps the synth is set to do a program change when it receives a certain midi trigger. try setting it to sending and receiving on channel 1 and see if that helps.
