About my interface. Core Audio but no ASIO?

im using ableton 6 with an m-audio fasttrack pro but in the preferences of abe i cannot change my driver to the asio it just have the option to choose core audio why is this ? cause in my previous pc wich is xp system i can choose between asio an default driver btw this prolem is for the macbook 2.2 is this cause its in demo mode or something?

Hi gejor,

ASIO is simple not available for Mac OS X.
But is is also not necessary. Core Audio offers all ASIO have (and much more) and is absolutely reliable.

Do you have actually any problems with the Core Audio driver on your Macbook or do you just curious why there's no ASIO?
