I'd actually maybe be interested in this,if the library wasn't so large. Kind of a deal killer for laptops.

I don't know, you can get sounds that fat, from a lot of synths though

agreed, from the sounds of it, I may be picking up a new TB drive just for this instrument!

Big yawn...
my main problem with stylus is that EVERY SINGLE BEAT is too busy. there aren't any simple beats in there, you have to strip shit out of everything if you want to use it and, at that point, why not just program the beat yourself?
Well the few times I have had to use RMX in a studio I haven't even bothered with the "beats", but instead I went straight for the chopped sounds (what's that mode called again?) - much cooler, but still with quite a "rompler" feel to it.

It may be that their new product isn't a rompler, but then why on earth brag that it comes with 30-40 gigs of content? I mean, isnt that just about the *definition* of a rompler?!?
yea, i use the groove elements sound library and start building things based on simple kicks and i switch up the timing or tap out the rhythm myself and use it as a drum rack. Then I used the effects module to change the character of the sound.

overall, i am not impressed with this new product. 40-50 gigs of preset and used up sounds............oh hell no.

"im just going to play you one sound"

i found myself laughing at that along with the sound he played.
it was very 80's.

Tarekith - I'm with you, it's getting tough on the laptop users these days! I filled the 120Gb drive on my MBP with in 2 days & then had to start moving everything off it.

Now I'm considering replacing the drive with a 200 or 250Gb one, but then I'll need to have a bigger external disk to back it up to aswell! (I guess I could just ignore the sample data as I could reinstall it from DVD but it's slow......)

No one is really helping the laptop user! e.g. iTunes only let you have your store in one place, it's hard to spread the love.

Nathann I hear what you're saying and fair enough but Atmosphere and RMX are great plugins, pretty ground breaking for the time they came out.

There's been plenty of new stuff to equal them but they are good and I suspect are staples of most of those who are producing and posting to this thread.

^^^^ I know but you can only have it in one place... so when you head out with your laptop you can't bring a subsection of your tunes for the road.... is what I meant.

Yes I do have my tunes on an external hard drive that wasn't what I was talking about.

Same with iphoto and most of the sampling apps.
