iMac with Bootcamp, VISTA - prob with NI Audio Control 1

Post by maro » Sat Jan 19, 2008 11:57 am

Hello there,

after days of tries in every direction I have no more ideas how to proceed.

Problem is the following:

I run an iMac 2,4Ghz, 3GB Ram with Bootcamp and Vista (SP1) installed - generally all runs surprisingly perfect! Also all software is working and Live7 has no problems BUT when I run a song whether with 1 or 20 plugins open, whether it is lowest or highest latency, is looks like it is really suffering and the Level meters for example are responding very slow BUT the CPU meter is quite normal.
Similar to if no asio driver is installed.
When I am using ASIO4ALL with the internal soundcard all is well...

So again - with NI AC1 and it's ASIO driver the performance is really good but the system looks like really struggling.

several things you may have to consider in this case
- my VISTA System on Bootcamp is configured properly for audio DAW - no unneeded services etc.
- my NI AC1 works fine with OSX on iMac and Live7
- my NI AC1 works fine with my PC (Win XP) and Live7
- my bootcamped iMac with Live7 and ASIO4ALL driver with internal soundcard works fine

anyone who has NI AC1 and Live7 on Vista (on PC or MAC) installed and it is running smooth?

Thanks in advance!
