pressing on vinyl or cd ...how to equalize?

Hi All!
which kind of differences there are when you master from .Wav to Cdaudio and From .Wav to vinyl ? i find interesting to know how to approach the different support which isn't gonna play the same and isn't gonna reproduce in the same way the original master....any tips ?

When working with cd, the only thing you should keep in mind is that the end file should be 44.1Khz 16Bit.

With Vinyl you should keep the bass in mono, to make a long story short : lot's of stereo lowend can make the record skip ( the needle pops out ). Also watch out with to much top end, imho vinyl always sounds a bit harsh with lot's of high end. Then you send it to the plant, they aply a RIAA EQ-curve and the vinyl is pressed.

Don't do anything for the vinyl version, the mastering engineer at the pressing plant will do all that before they cut the mother. IE, just master one version for CD and give that to the vinyl pressing plant as well. If you're getting records made, you HAVE to pay someone to make it vinyl compatible as part of the pressing price. THEY have to do this or else they run the risk of breaking a very expensive cutting head.
