BCF2000 and live7

Post by kirre777 » Thu Jan 10, 2008 10:52 pm

I just recently bought a used bcf2000 and I can't get it to work in automap mode. It works fine in ableton 6 (in mackie emulation mode) and in reason (in normal mode) and I can map the controllers manually via midi map mode.

I'm not really sure how everything works but do I need to load a preset in the bcf2000 or something?

Just got Live7, installed and found my BCF2000 is not recognised in Mackie Control mode. I've set it up exactly as I did in Live6's preferences but to no avail. This is a real bummer! Can anyone help????

i had a brief go this morning and it seemed to work in the end, but i'd need to do more testing to be sure. you have to have remote enabled on the relevant ports.

a couple of things i noted: the BCF seems to be recognized only as a usb audio device, though when i select mackie control as my surface, this shows up on the midi port selector but not in the surface port chooser, i'm pretty sure this wasn't the case with live 6.

Could you describe your settings in more detail? What driver and firmware are you using? Is your bcf in mackie mode?

been testing a bit more and it doesn't work reliably. i'm using the 1.2.1.3 drivers and i'm in mackie control mode. when i open a set, the faders usually jump to the right position, but if i move a fader it often bounces straight back without affecting the position of the fader in live. also, it will initially switch banks happily but after a few switches will stop responding to bank switch commands.

pluh, i was planning to use the bcf quite a lot in the next few months, i hope this gets sorted out, has anyone tried it with the 7.0.2beta?
