Access Virus TI and Ableton Live 7

Post by idealist » Sat Jan 05, 2008 3:00 pm

Is this working perfectly together?

I'm thinking about buying a Virus TI, but I'm not sure if this is really matching perfectly together... TI in Live? A Good thing?

Might want to ask on Virusti.com too, more users there.

People have reported a variety of problems with the Access Virus TI, and Ableton Live. Mostly latency issues. Some people have reported the Virus slipping in and out of sync with Ableton. I myself had latency issues until I messed around with delay and that seemed to work it out. I wouldn't call it a safe bet that it will work well.

I've heard now every that it works just fine... It seems there is no more thing to argue about, meanwhile there's a new TI, what a surprise... But not really my taste, I like knobs and the Virus is still whit knobs, a not to easy synth.

The snow looks nice though.

the good thing about the snow for TI owners is that it runs on the same OS as the TI which means both will be supported and upgraded for at least the next 2 years.

the polar still looks the best though, why couldn't they have made a five octave version of that?

Isn't the Virus TI Keyboard a 5-octave version of the Polar? It costs the same, too.
The difference between theory and practice is that in theory, there is no difference between theory and practice, but in practice, there is.

I own a VirusTI Desktop... Love it... Design, sound and handling. Everything works fine with TIOS 2.5.1 and Ableton 7 no dropouts and crackles. Perfect, this is how it should be. :P
