How to connect Djm 800 with my pc (ableton)

Hi,

i have a djm 800 and downloaded the demo of Ableton for trying it with midi.

I have a cable from a midi in a midi out to Usb

(on like this => http://www.musicstore.de/is-bin/INTERSH ... ardCatalog )

So i put the midi out plug from the cable in my djm 800 and the usb in my usb port

its says on my pc new hardware and a fieuw moments later hardware ready to use.

I start up ableton go to preferences but i cant find djm 800 in the list...

Can somebody help my out?
How i connect it and make it ready to use...

but witch plug do i have to put in my djm the midi in plug or the midi out?

Well, I guess you want to use the DJM as a controller, when you turn a knob on the mixer live response right?

Then you need to do this :

DJM > Midi Out > MIDI in Cable on the USB Device > Midi USB device > Computer

If that doesn't work try the other cable...

Then set up Live accordingly, find the midi USB thing in the preferences menu and set it to remote. You may have to change something on the DJM as well but I don't know much about that. For more information you can read the manual of the DJM & Live.
