Did Alesis resolve the IO2 MAC compatibilty issue?

or do I need to fork out more money for a new audio interface? Any suggestions if so? I'm using it for recording from my turntables and for production in Live 7. I will be using the latest leopard 10.5 Hayz

I use this unit with a Mac Book Intel and Leopard and have no problems with the audio interface side. However, the MIDI I/O has bugs and is unusable.

sorry to be naive but what is the midi IO part used for? WOuld I need it to use Live?

MIDI IO is for connecting MIDI controllers in the conventional way. Nowadays most controllers are bus powered via USB, so you may not use these.
