live 7 demo crashes on startup

hi perhaps someone can help me. everytime i start live 7 it crashes at "initialising new live set". i tried to install it to different locations, but nothing helped. i already got it running but than it crashed and since than this error appears. i got an amd xp2000 with 1gb ram and a esi juli@ on winxp sp2. what keeps me wondering is that it already worked. live 6 is still working but live 7...

would be great if someone could help me.
ps all drivers are working well, did already reinstall them so thats not the problem i guess

Did it ever work?

Maybe go to C:\Documents and Settings\your user name\Application Data\Ableton\Live\Preferences
and delete the preferences.cfg file?

Do you have SSE enabled? If I remember, Athlons of that vintage didn't necessarily have SSE enabled (in fact, some didn't even have SSE support).

Although the specs for 7 don't say anything about SSE being required, I'm thinking that it probably is...

i deleted the preferences.cfg and now it works again. great thx a lot for your help!
