Frequency Response of the Zoom H2's Built-in mics?
Hi all - Anyone know the frequency response of the Zoom H2's built-in mics?
Thanks.
Thanks.
I couldn't find my manual.
There are front and back mics.
Is this what you're looking for?

Thanks for the replies. Yeah, I can't seem to find a specific frequency response for the mics either. The frequency response graph on their site is helpful. Still, I've not seen an absolute range, like "100Hz - 16kHz" for example.
They seem to have a nice frequency response range, from the samples I've heard recorded with it and given your comments. Anyway, just curious. Thanks again.

yes. It's a microphone.dn83 wrote:Mm yeah, but on the high end, it seems to drop quite a bit between 10kHz and 20kHz, don't you think?
Here's a frequency chart of a modified Neumann u87:

I have a Zoom H2 and the manual - can not find an exact freq response range either. Although like others here, I can say they perform excellent for the price range.
Live 7.0.1 | Logic Pro 8 | PreSonus Firebox | EMU XBoard 49 | Zoom H2 | iMac 1.83 ghz C2D, 2GB ram | Leopard 10.5.1 | KRK Rokit 8s | Senseo
Yes, that is the deal. The H2 is very affordable for what it can do. It isn't ruggedized and there are some suspect choices made in its menu layout, but it sounds really good for what it costs. It has four mic capsules and allows you to make a type of poor man's 5.1 surround. It can be used as an audio interface. It does a lot of stuff.adverbialsensationalist wrote:I have a Zoom H2 and the manual - can not find an exact freq response range either.
