Some good links in this thread - good idea for further decluttering etc :)

Heres some photos of one their huge 1600x800 desks and a pairs of their 1200x60 desks for the racks etc - 14U rack under each 'wing' and a 10U on top of each with mixer and mpc under the desk racks.

Nothing to see here - move along!

I gave up on Laird's link (I hate dialup) but that studio in the 3 photos looks great, everything within reach... better watch out for any fatties sitting on the sofa though, looks like those guitars are in the danger zone.

Gives me GAS :x

Check out this site:

Much more configurable, and even with shipping it'll work out about the same...

Geeze. I've been looking for simple wooden cases like that for ages.

Thanks for the link. At this point my inner cheap bastard has taken full control, and I've decided to go for the traditional 8 cube Ikea Expedit turned on its side.
I have an ikea VIKA tabletop things that is screwed to the wall with a bit of wood and has 2 adjustable legs.

And i have an Ikea EXPEDIT book shelf in place with loads of those funny plastic box draws holding all my leads records bits & bobs. LOL

Ikea is definatley cool studio furniture.

i got one of these

http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/40103628

put it on its side and then fitted shelves between the (now) uprights by cutting down 8 of these (largest size)

http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/30095030

you get two levels of 12" storage and a narrower level for 7"s, CDs amps etc

decks go on top at a comfortable height - no bending over a normal desk.

will post a picture soon.

spiral, I have about the same thing, only I bought it for 19 euro:
http://www.thomann.de/gb/millenium_laptopstand.htm

- this is so strong that you could probably stand on it, if you wanted to.

I've also succesfully used two to hold a larger synth.

Hey, McBoob!!!

http://www.instructables.com/id/Ikea-DJ-Console/

Check out that rudeboy. Looks like EXACTLY what you're after...

(The tabletop WILL bow under the weight of Turntabes and a mixer - you should put 2 extra LACK side pieces along the length of the tabletop).

P.S - Looks like the Jerker is back in town. Now it's called:

FREDRIK

and goes for just £85.

The Ikea Expedit ( http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/50103086) bookcase, turned on the side, has been widely known for years as the perfect home dj solution. I use one myself to store my Sl1200's and DJM 800.

My uber aesthetic solution would be this though: http://www.metrofarm.net/djdescs/?image=2
Probably too expensive :-(
