one midi control to multiple parametres
one midi control to multiple parametres
Would it be possible to assign multiple functions to one controller?
For example the filter cut on 5 different autofilters to the one knob/cc number?

amen. I wish Live would have a second midi map window (or maybe a pop up window) where you could maybe hold down shift or ctrl and select multiple knobs/sliders, then choose a hardware controller that will control all of these konbs you selected. THis could also allow one to have individual midi controls dedicated to each individual knob, but allow the knob controlling the group of knobs to essentially overide the indivual knobs. I use the DM2 controller and DM2-to-MIDI software from p.doom--Ableton should check out how the midi control is implemented there--totally flexible, any hardware control can do just about anything to the software.

yeah, this would be super cool!
I'd love to see some kind of a midi patcher that could take refined range of the cc like from 75 to 120 and mix it with another cc with a different range; this could be applied to frequency and Q for eg.

midi mapping
i'd love multiple assignments inside live4.
Perhaps an interface like the one in FruityLoops. it has a button, which disabled the cc take over, when a new cc is "taken".
One can also reverse the controller and all sorts of fun stuff.
A single knob can lowpassfilter one sound and hipass another.

I hate to say it, but the way midi control is implemented in FruityLoops is brilliant. It can be set to take over the cc# by ticking a button, otherwise the controller assignments stay on for multiple destinations.
AND there's no annying pop-up if you want to assign to something else

my program controlAid allows you to do this on a mac. You can create a setup where every knob sends as many cc messages as you want.
This works for both cc and noteon/off messages.
Free.
controlAid can do this as well. If you create multiple midi messages from one knob, each one can be scaled individually to a given range. Each value can also be inverted as compared to the original message.'d love to see some kind of a midi patcher that could take refined range of the cc like from 75 to 120 and mix it with another cc with a different range; this could be applied to frequency and Q for eg.

I'm with you on this...one controller to multiple parameters, multiple controllers to one parameter, being able to set ranges, etc.
I also want to be able to type the controllers in, and drag them around (dragging for key controls as well). Sometimes I'm working on a set away from a controller, or it's just less fussy to move something around by hand.
