24 bit and 16 bit settings?

Post by divisional » Sat Jan 26, 2008 2:50 am

I really have tried to find this out myself - so please forgive me if this is just a completely stupid question... but how can I see if Live is recording in 24 bit or 16 bit? I looked through the settings and did some manual skimming and couldn't find it today. Could it be that 44100 is 16 bit and 48000 is 24 bit? Or am i way off.

Thanks for the help.

on the Preference window, go to the Record/Warp/Launch. you'll see the options there.
in the pdf manual, go to page 197, section 14.7
hope that helps.
i'm not in front of Live atm, but i'm pretty sure that if you move the mouse pointer on top of an audio clip, you will see at the bottom of the GUI the audio properties for that clip.

There it is... Page 171 in the printed manual. The "bit depth chooser."

Thanks for taking the time to look that up for me. I was looking in all the wrong places...
