I am experiencing a program termination error, and don't understand why. It occurs after running LIVE for 10 to 15 minutes, and does not seem to be triggered by anything, it just happens. The error reads:
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error!
Program......\Ableton\Live6.0.10.exe
abnormal program termination
Any insights into correcting the problem are much appreciated....

I figured this problem out on my own, the issue has to do with the programs running in the background that interfere with Ableton. There are many possible solutions:
I am using Wiindows XP, and I noticed that Ableton would crash after my screen saver initiated. I had the "Aquarium" theme engaged, and once I changed the screen saver from Aqurium to Starfield, the issue went away. If your Ableton is crashing with a runtime error, keep an eye on the crash event to see if it occurs with the initiation of the screen saver. Set the wait time to 1 minute, and if it crashes, select no screen saver, then run Ableton to see if it stays up and running.
