i have a set that i use live.
after the performance i delete all the samples created.
now, this set is telling me that samples are missing, but, no samples are in the set. no blank clip placeholders anywhere.
and anyway, i don't want these mysterious "missing" samples!
anyone know how i can turn of this annoying orange dialog at the bottom of my set?
samples are NOT missing...how to shut off?

Hey mouse, you use a macbook w. motu ultralite, please, can you tell me what latencies you are able to work with when playing a software instrument or, if you do, with your cello? I bought a new mbpro 2.2 ghz and the best result with an m-audio interface was 16ms allover at 16 bit. That´s hard to work with funky licks on the guitar. MacOs 10.4.10, Live 6.0.10 thanxxxx M.Lo
Maybe you already figured this out but if you click on the sample missing message in the status bar, it will tell you what it thinks is missing (and you can search for it).taximouse wrote:ah...i'm daft. answered my own question.

hi m.Lo
i'm sorry, i didnt' see your message! probably so long ago you're sorted now...
anyway. the best i've managed to do for overall latency is 15 ms. i mostly deal with it by setting the sync delay of everything else i'm playing with to be LATE by 15ms. it seems to work, although i found it extremely confusing to get the delay correct for everything. also, its not totally working because the latency seems to change over time. when my computer is cool and fresh, all is good, but sometimes live "sticks" and there can be a sudden leap in latency...even when the CPU hovers around 15%. when that happens all is lost.
not a helpful answer i guess....
