LiQuid Metamorphosis (alt/rock project) done in Live 7 Suite

Post by leedsquietman » Sat Jan 26, 2008 11:27 am

Just made my first ever video clip for one of my songs, just a montage of public domain, stills and some neat video FX.

The song is called Intervention, inspired by the awesome show on drug/alcohol/gambling addiction on A&E.

Totally produced in Live 7, with synths provided in Electric, Tension (bass and harpsichord sound) and Analog (pad sound) plus all the effects were Live FX (compressors, delays, EQ) except for the reverb (Glaceverb and Pristine Space) and Audio Damage Fluid Chorus plus Voxengo Elephant on the mastering chain. The guitars were played on my Yamaha Pacifica and Yamaha acoustic and edited and processed in Live 7.

See it on MySpace TV (longer download/stream but has stereo sound)

or Youtube (shorter download/stream but all YouTube vids only allow mono sound)

I just remembered that Live is officially a software for Belgian Tarnce freaks with 6 lemurs and a bag of glow in the dark neon sticks(Oracle Monsieur Titbag was on the money with this one), so why the hell would anyone be interested in my NON pumping four on the floor cut and pasted 8 bar loop with fiddly little synth sounds but in a genuine song that mostly used arrangement mode and real guitars for recording

Hey there. Awesome vid, waaaay better than most of us could do. The musics dead cool and stands up on its own - I do think putting the words up on screen is a mistake. Perhaps try putting up stats and quotes instead - way more powerful.

Cheers for the feedback, appreciate your comments and your idea on the words and retitling some stats is a very good one.

BTW - I was only messing earlier, but I got a comment out of saying Live was a tool only for electronica - Of course, I know that's not true, just being mischievous and trolling some bait, he he :P

LOL, you think thats cheaky, when ever I tell people I like to record guitars they assume I'm using logic/cubase/pt, etc.. when I tell them all my recent efforts have been a Behringer Vamp pro into Live 6 you do tend to see a little snobbery.
