Cannot send midi into midi. Pease help

I'm trying to do a side chain compression by sending my MIDI with Kick into other MIDI with Bass. The problem is, my MIDI Kick can only be routed to AUDIO tracks and MASTER, other MIDI channels are not even an option. Please help me identify the problem.

I assume you're using live 7's compressor to side chain right?
It only works with audio, it's an audio effect not an midi effect. So here's what you do. You put the compressor on the bass track, I guess that you have a virtual instrument on there to make the bass sound. Then you activate the side-chain mode and select the kick track, that's it.
I'm pretty sure there is a chapter in the manual explaining it in more detail...
