MrTheBigMan - New Tune

Post by mrthebigman » Tue Jan 15, 2008 5:46 pm

Just wondering if anyone would like to give me feedback on a new tune I have uploaded on to my myspace site entitled "I Can Feel It".

Any advice or critique is welcome.

Thanks, Jason.

Hi TheBigMan

Listened to your tune, Must say that I dont listen to this kind normally but from what I hear it sounds well put together with nice blend and nothing out of place. The track builds nicely but maybe towards middle / end I was waiting fro a bit more UMPH like maybe a guitar riff or such? Maybe a fat bass line as sounded a little "samey"

but as I said Im not used to this kind of music. The girl next to me at work liked it so thats cool :)

thanks mooseymoo for the comments, i was thinking of cutting down the length of the middle eight as it seems a bit long, maybe the reason the bassline is a bit samey.

I appreciate the feedback tho!

Hi MrTheBigMan.

Doesn't sound too bad, and nice use of the CM vocal, I use a few bits of theirs too :D

Sounds a little dry in places and could use a few more percusive elements within the stereo field to give it some air, aswell as some white noise based whooshes and swells to keep it moving along :)

Edit - just took that same vocal sample, popped on a mild compressor with ratio of 2.00 and threshold at -17, a little reverb then a touch of panned filter delay and it's brought it to life :)

New Remix

Post by mrthebigman » Mon Jan 28, 2008 11:28 am

Hey folks, just another post to advise of the new remix i have put up of 'You're Mine'.

I have done it myself and it resembles how I would like a live band to play the track.

Let me know what you think.
