Is it weird to perform a style you hate?
Usually I just cheat and let a drum machine do the basic 4/4 house kick and play something else more interestingbeats me wrote:If I were a real drummer I would probably fall asleep playing straight house or trance, not a lot of variations going on there. I'm one of those non drummers that owns vdrums for whatever reason and I still fall asleep playing to house tracks. It's fun for about 10 minutes.
Anyway - its actualy hard work pounding away a 4/4 on pedal-hh and kick endlessly - bollox to that
Nothing to see here - move along!
If you hate something enough to have criticism then you have already premeditated how to make something you would like. It's like someone told you solution to a problem and you have a different way of solving it for a better answer. This is goes along with what I believe people mean when they say music is derivative. Emotional response is celarly what seperates music from math (imo).

While this thread holds the attention of a lot of drummers it seems, would any of you know how Anders pulls off his hi-hat technique? Its unbelievably fast!
