I'm not sure why the hostility in this forum has been amped up as of late, but it makes me a little sad. This is a community, and we built it with discussion and words. Words matter...they can make someone's day, and they can inflict pain. I'm not sure why, but in the past few weeks, the forum has become negative and mean spirited.

Just because I don't care whether or not I'm loved by people I don't know in person, I'll answer you honestly instead of ignoring this. You basically posted a thread accusing people at NAMM of not paying enough attention to you. You ask for, receive, and require a lot of attention from people on this forum. So it's not big fucking surprise that you might rub some people the wrong way, and get admirers. It comes with the territory of being an attention whore, not that that's a major crime, and nothing I'm posting here is said to generate hostility from you, but you seem actually to be convinced that somehow the forum has become more hostile when in fact it hasn't. You personally just generated more adoration and repulsion in the last few weeks than you normally do, that's all.

I know you're personally not a fan of b0unce for instance, but look at the response he gets, it's the same, some people are amused by his antics and others think of him as a nuisance. He tends to say things in a brutal and aggressive fashion, but pretty much never ignores people or intentionally strikes humor into a thread about Live software news and issues. So in that respect I find both of you equally amusing, and annoying at times. It comes along with a forceful personality and aggressive presence. Congratulations you have one!

So yes occasionally people are going to talk trash about you. It's better than people ignoring you is it not?

One last thing, no offense, but you and a few other here are under the impression that it's somehow possible to legislate your own version of morality on the forum, but my version of ethics and yours are different, (see above) so IMO this forum does fine unmoderated, by consensus or otherwise.

that's so wrong. he was suprised they didn't pay more attention to ANYONE who wandered into the booth. he plainly stated that he walked up like some regular Joe and there wasn't the meet and greet atmosphere. he was excited to meet the booth folk and they were non-plussed to meet ANYONE. he planned for a while, scored a ticket, bought a plane ticket and paid for a hotel room, of course he was deflated. stop being such a hard ass on the guy. don't bother calling me a fan boy, I was the first to tell him he fucked up, for other reasons.
