a better midi GUI like in Cubase. And the ability to step record meaning when I play my keyboard on 16th step, it registers on LIVE.

Although I agree that Cubase's MIDI features, especially inline editing and drum track are pretty decent. Still doesn't make me wanna go back and get bitch slapped by the Steiny though.... workaround, workaround.....

I like Live's MIDI though by and large, you get used to the interface quickly.

i work with midi a lot, and i haven't bought the 7 upgrade because midi handling has not been improved.

if anyone knows of a decent 3rd party vst/i midi editor (?) which could be used to output midi patterns i'd be most grateful. in the interim period it looks like i'm saving for cubase... and i swore i'd never do that
