Live won't open !!!

I'm running Live 6 on OS X Leopard and it stopped working. It simply won't open anymore. It gets to the point where it says "scanning "custom" vst folder" and then quits. I then get the message asking if I want to report problem, ignore, or relaunch. I also have Live 7 demo installed and it does the same thing. 7 had previously worked also, and I didn't convert the library to Live 7 either. It now crashes the same way that Live 6 does. I did some cleanup on my hard drive and ran YASU system cleaner, so I'm wondering if I got rid of a file I didn't need to by accident. I've tried downloading Live 6 and reinstalling it, but it doesn't help. I'm a little freaked out right now. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Saw another post about deleting the preference file. This did the trick. Thanks.

After a kind of occurrence earlier today, (I noticed it by a short buzzing sound in my monitors and later confirmed in Window's error report)), Live 5.2 stopped responding. In the middle of a creative session, this was not the most convenient thing to happen. Uninstalling, installing, uninstalling by hand, +++++, nothing seem to get me out of trouble.

Putting my mind to anything else for a while, gave me the clever idea to check the forum. Deleting the preference file, really did the trick. So again, a big thank you!
