well the fact that you own one could still mean you think it's useless ain't it?

sorry mate,
yeah I guess that is true, but I probably would have sold it already,

I think when it comes to the g2, only the operator of the synth could ever be deemed useless, very deep thing to get into, I still havent managed to get very far past messing with the presets.

I was just being sarcastic when I said it was useless

I sold the G2 because it doesn't have that sound.

As Johnisfaster said; the DAC on the G2 are as smooth as silk..
The G1 really has that raw edge to the sound which I prefer..
I'm so glad you said this. I'm the proud owner of a fully expanded G1 keyboard and the sound is so raw which I love. I was considering selling and replacing it with a G2 purely for the nicer editor but I think you're absolutely right, I will definitely be keeping hold of it, thank you!

As difficult as it can be to build complex patches from scratch, the NM community seems to be very good and there are loads of amazing patch archives out there. Some of the generative patches are mind-blowing.

I've also been hearing stories of the G1 being hacked into a G2 - I'd interested hear exactly what that entails and how it sounds!
