setting tempo automatically from an audio file?

Excuse the new user question.

I can see how to warp a wav file (a whole song) to match the current tempo correctly. Is it possible to go the other way, ie. I want to play the original wav as originally recorded, but automatically adjust the tempo throughout the tune so that I can put new midi drums on top of it easily?

Just warp the clip/audio file as normal.
Placing the markers exactly on the right beats
then switch the clip to be master.

Live will now follow the tempo changes contained
within that clip. All extra MIDI or audio parts will
follow that tempo/groove.

Thanks! I'll give that a try. What an awesome program. . these sorts of things are a million steps in other programs, and still don't work well.
