I am looking for my ultimate 3rd deck. I tried spinning off Live this weekend and found it ok but kinda weird....I had my BPM values set between 130-140. I noticiced if I was at say 141..I be kind of stuck (out of range)..I'd have to slow down my TT to be around 140 so I could match it up. I also found the best way was to make a 1 bar loop of one clip then make another clip the actual song..Is this was some of you more experienced do? How do you work it in yoru dj setup? Also how does it compare to say Traktor? Any tips appreciated..

Traktor DJ Studio is much closer to a traditional DJ setup than Live. As you know by now, Live is clip driven. You can do a lot more with Live, but again, it's a totally different animal.
I use Traktor DJ Studio for DJ gigs. I use Live mostly for performing and remixing.

Do you know if in Traktor dj one can assign the first beat or cue to like a spacebar. So each time I hit a spacebar or key it triggers the mp3 on beat?

Yes. You can assign keys to nearly everything on screen.
