7.0.2b6 Crossfader still really bad

even gently moving the crossfader creates massive CPU spike and distortion.

I'm on a PC (single core Intel running XP) and Live 7.0.2b6 fixed my crossfader clicks and pops. I had built a simple set - two tracks in arrangement view, one clip on each. Track 1 was assigned to A, 2 to B. Played fine in 6.0.10. In 7.0.1 moving the crossfader with the mouse would cause very loud clicks in the audio (USB audio device). Just tryied in Live 7.0.2b6 last night and it sounded fine.
