remote25SL disconnecting

i just bought a remote25SL and i have a problem with it: i have mapped the touchpad to some parameters in Live.
after a while of using the touchpad and playing notes on the keyboard, the whole unit disconnects.
no more midi data is received by the computer (i've checked with midi-ox).
all my USB ports have the energy savings set to off.
automap is set to off, i use it as a "classical" midi keyboard/remote controller.
i use the latest driver/firmware (installer 4.1)

any help/insight is MOST welcome!

I installed 4.1 OS on the remote and had the same sort of problems. If you go back to OS 3.1 on it, it should work correctly, mine does....

Also I found Live 7 to be unusable with the Remote, but 6.10 works fine.

oh yea, forgot to mention that Novation will be releasing a new OS for the Remote SL sometime in Feb (they say). Maybe that will also solve the issue
