Sidechain Compressor Mac?
Searched for a recommended VST list but couldnt find anything.
Could someone recommend me a freeware sidechain compressor for the Mac?
Tried this one by teragon
http://sonictransfer.com/free-side-chai ... -mac.shtml
But it clicks whenever it ducks the sound so is obviously not that suitable.
Thanks in advance.
Cheers

I have to admit I have been considering the 7 upgrade.yoshitosser wrote:Well, if you find a free one then well done, when I was looking never found one.
And if you pay for another one, compare how much it costs compared to how much the upgrade costs. Nice sidechain on Autofilter too in 7.
I couldnt login to find out how much the upgrade is....can anyone tell me?
Hallo..
The price for the update from Live 6 to Live 7 is 99,- euro, and it is a really good investment!
i guess this is the best release from abelton ever!
-Sound
-PlugIns

-Workflow
hope to help...

i tried the one recommended by Dru, couldn't get on with it (too clicky) tried and then bought the dbaudioware
http://www.db-audioware.com/sidechaincompressor.htm
and used that for about a year and then Live 7 came out.
I've uninstalled the db audioware now as i upgraded to 7 the day it came out and i prefer the live compressor to be honest (although I only use it for sidechaining - all other compression is done using my liquid mix)
Do you want to buy the license for the db off me ? 1/2 list price ?
I spent about 2 years exhaustively searching the net for sidechain compressors, and never had much luck with any of the freebies.
I also wasted a lot of time checking them all out.
My honest advice ? take the plunge and upgrade to 7.. but be aware it has (in my experience) annoying bugs.. especially when partnered with some midi interfaces.

Best pay sidechain compressor for Mac IMO is Fabfilter Pro-C
http://www.fabfilter.com/products/pro-c.php
But yeah, I think it's cheaper to upgrade to 7.

Won't regret!!!!
