Apogee Symphony Advanced Routing Problems

Post by rhawtin » Sat Feb 09, 2008 1:37 pm

Hello. I'm running a rather large Apogee Symphony System and using the Apogee Advanced Routing Mode. Is anyone else out there running any type of Advanced Routing Mode with this type of Hardware, and if so, are you able to see all the extra channels? Currently I'm only able to access the analog channels from Ableton, and not any extra Advanced Digital IO :( ... even though in my Audio/Midi setup everything is there?!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
Rich

Have you activated all I/O's in the Audio preferences?

I am using a Symphony system with 1 x AD-16X and 1 x DA-16X, both in advanced routing mode, 8 channel VBUS, and Live 6/7. I never had problems seeing the all 40 inputs and outputs in that configuration (assuming they were all enabled in Live's audio preferences).

The one thing which hasn't worked (and I've not spent time debugging it) was sending audio between Max/MSP and LIve using the VBUS channels (lots of clicks and pops).

Does anybody know which settings are necessary to use vbus. I would like to route a standealone instrument into Live via vbus. I have activated vbus in the maestro control window but it doesn´t work. Who can help me?
Many thanks in advance!
