how can I adjust the bass on a clip on a track? v 7 thanks

I am learning to use this program and I like it so far :)

I had a question that maybe someone can help me out with..
I am laying out a dj set in the arrangement window..
I have two tracks..
I put in clip( whole song) on top then the second (clip) song in my mix on the bottom and then the top again.. and so forth.. That I figured out.

I also figured out how to set an envelope to adjust the vloume at the beginning of each track and end so the blend flows..

my question..One of the tracks is too heavy on the bass.. so if I lower the gain of the track the rest of the song vlume goes down even tho the kick and bass are even with the tracks of the rest of the mix..

can I put a eq on only a certain clip on the track..and if so how can go about doing that?

its a progressive house mix..

thanks

Quite a few different ways of doing this, the easiest being just create a third track and put only clips which need the bass cut on that track...

You can't assign an effect directly to a clip, but by using clip envelopes you can turn an effect on for one clip only, or you could automate the effects on/off or bass cut in the same way in which you automated the volume.

Put an EQ on each audio track. Then in arrangement view, you automate the bass cut the same way that you automated the volume. On the right-hand side there is a drop down that says mixer, change that to "EQ3/EQ8" or whatever EQ you are using. Then select the parameter you want to change.

Read my "mixing in arrangement view" guide, it covers what you are looking to do:
