she's the one with three grammy's.

whatever. when you act like she do, you open yourself up to it. don't like the spotlight? don't like the critisism? don't fuckin touch the mic... you liable to get burnt.
youre so wrong about Amy.

she writes most of her own songs, is a devotee of 60s soul, and is the classic example of success spoiling someone. she had documented drinking problems before, but it wasnt until her mega success that she lost control. fair enough if you dont like her music, but to call her fake and lump her in with the Britneys of the world is just ignorant.

her band is the dap kings, the leading lights of the new york deep funk scene. theres no way in hell theyd be playing with a pop act.

im just stunned that someone with some actual breadth of talent has won a grammy.

Oh wow, I didn't know this -- they are great! What happened to Sharon Jones then? They are playing the beacon theater soon, I believe...

sorry, tone, tryin to jack my own thread, and start an aurguement.

not sure when everything is, but the kanye is fresh, beatles(love play) shit is fresh, ass well as the next performance, not sure what/who,but i recognized it. when kanye wins one, he starts talkin shit, and they fade the music, chapelle show style. he tells em to turn it down, he gonna talk bout his momma, and they do. totally punk rock/egomaniacal... the beyonce and tina turner for sure, foo fighters with the cute violin girl who won that contest, winohouse if you like stumbly drunk bitches... a country guy made a good kanye joke... few good performances, few lameo's. sir george and ringo add another grammy...

pretty normal, just a lot more performance, and less filler... i guess the strike has it's advantages... jerry lee louis right now, still singin that song. i bet he hates it.. wonder why he has to look at the keys, as many times as he's played this...

just watching this now,

Alicia Keys - wow, don't really like her generally but damn...

then Prince followed by Morris Day. 8) (Prince first.)

didn't catch the name of the woman singing with The Time, she's not lip syncing, but the echoes on her voice are pitch corrected.

then the whitest man alive, Tom Hanks... segwaying into a hippy jam band.

They just showed the Daft Punk bit in Seattle, thank god I didn't have to sit through anything else. The surprise Daft Punk bit was cool, neat stage, lighting and stuff. I don't get the Kanye thing though, his singing/rapping was awful, sounded terrible.

The whole Lemur thing was... kinda... umm....

I mean, 4 lemurs to play a loop and trigger (supposedly) some vocal phrases?

Oh well, the pretty lights made me smile.
