fix for low cpu meter audio cutouts on macbook==

Post by evilxsystems » Sun Feb 10, 2008 9:10 am

turn off multicore rewire, instantly fixed my audio drop-outs that I was having at low cpu levels. This must be a bug, I'm not using rewire, but for whatever reason I was unable to make a Live set that used more than 50% of my CPU without it glitching out harder than a discman in a blender.

Anyway I thought I'd post this since I noticed an unusual number of mac people having these problems with 7.0.2 and their usually highly stable systems...seems odd to see mac people having just as many problems as the poor PC folks...I guess that's progress for ya

I have something similar on a Windows PC. I thought it may be my USB harddrive giving me a hard time.... is it a common problem on both Mac/PC? The CPU usage was never above 50%, also in my case.

Hi,

Problem mutch worse, if I us about 3 to 4% of my CPU on
MacBook Pro it has Hicks and pops with Live 7 01 Max OS 10.4.11
even @ 200mSec and more.

Logic Pro can handel 99 % still working no trouble there
on the same Macbook Pro

On My G5 no problems with Live 7.

What's Wrong?

Grtz,
JD
