Hey! On the MSTRKRFT/LCD tip (by which I presume you mean electronic music made with an Indie rock twist) - there's lots of amazing stuff coming out of France, some you've prolly heard (Justice, SebastiAN i.e. the Ed Banger mafia) some you may not (Joakim, Kavinsky); not to mention the classiques of French Touch (Braxe and Falke, Daft Punk, Cassius, Phoenix).

And Australia has been cranking out the most amazing electro/rock hybrid stuff of late, from the absolutely AMAZING Midnight Juggernauts to Van She (who are both a band and a remix duo - the latter is called Van She Tech and their remix of Sneaky Soundsystem's "UFO" was my favorite banger last year...); not to mention Knightlife, Bag Raiders, Valentinos, Cut Copy, The Presets...seriously, Australia - whats up with all the amazingness out of nowhere?

Also - keep your eyes peeled for Does it Offend You Yeah, they're about to blow up big time...And don't forget Boys Noize, my man Felix Cartal...There's so much good stuff me and my San FranDisco mates started a blog to share discoveries with each other (and the world):

So set yr RSS feed on feed://www.discoworkout.com/?feed=rss2 and we'll keep ya updated on (our humble opinions) about all of it! :)

...sorry I forgot to post URLS for those bands...but you can just type in any of those band names I mention into our search engine for some free Mp3s and streams etc.

(Don't worry, it's legit - the labels send us stuff all the time. My opinion is that Mp3 blogs are basically the new mixtapes - their promo value is generally understood to outweigh the 'oh! scary! pirated music!' fear. most labels sort of look the other way if not flat out beg us to post stuff!)

I've always thought Studio sounded a bit like LCD Soundsystem in that Talking Heads kind of way. 'West Coast' is a good CD.

Also should add Hercules & Love Affair (that's just the one artist, not two btw) to the list, they have an album about to drop (unless it's already happened) and it's pretty damn hot... there's Frankie Knuckles mixes of one of the tracks from it as well...
