this is for quantize a loop but with not just the general 1/8, 1/16, ... but take a groove from a live song example James Brown and apply it to the loop (not just the Global Groove from 0 to 99 but a more specific qua,tize)
this is call Groove Templates in cubase and ReGroove in Reason ...
I was thinking this options is missing in Live no?? ? ??
How do you perform GROOVE maps or GROOVE templates in LIVE ?

load your required groove template wav into live (e.g a james brown break)
place it into the live arrangement window.
in that clips parameters click where it says 'slave' and this will change to read 'master'.
The entire track is now slaved to that sample as the groove/timing template.
There is also the 'swing' option.. check out the manual on how to swing a midi clip.
basically the box with a zero to the right of the tempo (top left of the screen) denotes the amount of swing globally. in the midi clip alter the parameter box from 'straight' to 'swing 8', 'swing16' or 'swing 32'. For starters, try a setting of 30, with your drum midi clip set to 'swing 16' for a subtle swing on a four four groove.
