Can't get plugins to show up - OSX

Hello,

I can't get my plugins to work with Ableton (latest version), running on a Macbook Pro/OSX 10.5.2.

The only ones that work are the standard Apple AU's, and some Ohmforce plugins. The Ohmforce plugs came with an installer. Other plugins that don't use an installer are the ones I can't get working... such as King Dubby, Blackwater Reverb, EPhonic Tape Delay, George Yohng's W1 Limiter, BBE Sonic Maximiser etc.

I've tried various AU's and Mac VST's. I copied them to the same folder that the Ohmforce plugins were installed to: "root/Library/Audio/Plugins"...

I also tried root/Users/"myusername"/Library/Audio/Plugins"

Yes, I have chosen this folder as a custom VST folder in the Ableton settings, and rescanned. I also tried copying them to another folder and using that as a custom folder. Nothing! These plugins do not show up in the plugin list.

What am I doing wrong?

Looks like plugins you are trying to use are PowerPC only.
MacBook Pro is an Intel-based system and you can not use PowerPC plugins natively.

Yes. Locate Live.app inside Live folder in your application folder,select it ,press command + I and you will see info window.Check box "open under Rosetta".Close info window.
Now your Live is a PPC application. Run it and look into plugins browser. I think you'll see all your plugins there.

But you must know that "Rosetta" is an emulation engine inside OSX for Intel Macs.It provides you ability to run light weighted PPC applications. Audio production uses to much power and speed of amulator is isually 1/4 -1/8 of native.
So using Live under emulation is practically impossible.

P.S. To revert Live back to Intel mode just unchek that box.
