dtxplorer drum kit

can someone one help me select the right instrument when i am recording in midi with this kit. i do have asio drivers and i can see the data when i alarm it but don't know which instrument to select to hear the right sound for snare, cymbals , kick etc. i do :D have ableton 6.

You have to map the Yammie to Ableton or Ableton to the Yammie. I think its best u use Battery as it supports choking and whatnot

Battery is a drum plugin from Native Instruments and can be purchased with money. Current version is 3. Also, look into BFD from FXpansion which is recently updated to version 2. This second version supports sample importing.
You could use Impulse too but afaik you cant make a decent open/closed hihat setup and it doesnt support choking. Battery has cycle round robin as well which is nice to get some variation. I have never setup a open/closed hihat with Battery though but I believe this is possible. You might want to browse to the NI forum to get further information.
Just Ableton Live is not gonna cut it.. You need a third party plugin
