I have never bought a mixer before, so I am kind of clueless as to what brands/models are good for what.
Here is the equipment I need to hook up:
Electribe MX-1
Line 6 POD X3
MicroKorg
KaossPad 3
*Electribe SX-1 (possibly in the future)
I would like to get all of these into Ableton Live (via my sound card), and also be able to use it with speakers without running into the computer.
What would be a good mixer for this purpose? I would like to spend under $500.
I need a good mixer
Well, here's a feature to consider:
SUB OUTS
I like to be able to play Live thru my mixer and hear it.
I then like to sync up my electribe and write patterns on the electribe, and hear both thru my mixer.
I then like to be able to hear both through my mixer, but only record the electribe into Live (and not record Live back into Live). For this type of setup, you need a mixer with Sub Outs.
My Mackie has lasted me nearly 20 years now... survived a pretty good fall, and one flood (it was up high... i no longer work in the basement)
