people here are generally nice, but OMFG what's up with the hazing?!!?

this never happened back in the day... say, 10 months ago. it appears we've been invaded by http://encyclopediadramatica.com/Boy

BTW - i would recommend a mac, but not for any good reason, just seems to be the norm in my genre of music, and they're sexy, built well, etc.

i would suggest checking out some of the mac vs. pc threads on this forum - they come up at least once every few days.

That sucks, sorry to hear that. I think what makes this place interesting, besides knowledge about Live etc. is the diversity of people posting.

He's right. Tone's a POS sometimes, but sometimes he's dead on. That's life, people aren't perfect. You want perfect? I can't help you with your laptop question. 5) Once you reach 1000 posts you may be welcome here.

and to answer your initial question, the one i own an apple MBP 2.16 ghz with 4gb of ram, and soon i replace the HD with a 320gb drive. running OSX tiger.

the maschine is serving me absolut fine... no complaints, no need to look any further, for now.

Lenovo (former IBM) Thinkpad T61p is a really high quality Laptop.

If i could choose a Laptop for free right now, it would be the Top-of-the-Line
T61p

If the Macbook Pros didn t have those problems with their Firewire Ports, i would probably choose the best Macbook Pro

HP builds some good Laptops in their buisness line too.

All these options are not cheap.
