your people have spoken, give the public what it wants !

+1 Here too.
I just got a discounted Sampler license from another user. Just figured out how to make it polyphonically microtonal! I'll post up a Microtonal Sampler live pack set for anyone who wants to check it out soon.
But I agree, timestetching and the other features that have been suggested should be in there for an instrument that Ableton charges $199 separately for . . .

+1 - On the condition that we don't lose the existing granular tricks!
I do have to say that the features I am most missing are even more basic and included with most 3rd party stuff:
- Midi Learn that is permanent.
- Record Sampler Automation in session!
- Real unison would be cool
- Unrelated, but being able to use a grouped sampler as the drum rack default for dropping waves.
Of course, if you want to talk about a real sad case, think of the features Operator is still missing compared to Sampler and other instruments in the $150 price range.

GO VEGAN!!! - Macbook Air, Bass Station II, Some Korg shit, Live Suite, U-He, Audio Damage, Microtonic, Ohmicide, more soft stuffs, awesome controllers, euro rack modular synth,an awesome cat.

You can do it in clip view, it forms the basis of my live set.
just gonna bump this thread. Time-stretch and sample start are two pretty important features,

Still cant believe that you cant control the LFO amount via MIDI. That dun killed a perfect instrument.
i dont get it really. live has so much potentional that they just didnt care to hand out. perhaps its a marketing strategy from their side, but we have alot of parameters that we cant map to midi that alot of poeple want to be able to map to midi.
+1 on the poll btw.

marketing strategie? maybe it was at one point ..but it has payed off badly on the long run to implement and design evrything only halfway-- the desolat state of L8 was the endresult of that policy.
problem is that they now have necessary fixes in really any corner of the program..which is else wise pretty good..
somehow a tragedy that something so good can be so crippled in so many regards..
ok ..crippled is the wrong word.. but dammaged.. like a girl with beautifull face, legs and feet but no eyebrows and all the tows are hacked off... still a beauty but when she starts to sweat the sweat goes directly into her eyes and make her cry..and because of the missing tows she wears theese strangly small boots...
Ableton will need to invest some time to fix our sweet frankenstein monster...
there are tons of other developments to keep users interested... give us her tows and eye brows now

Man, three versions of Live and they still haven't added timestretch. Nice necro-bump though!
