OT - Help TheFool with the ladies
^^^ HAHA I think I kinda have the same problem. I've had dudes approach me before. Its fukkin weird and it sux (not that theres anything wrong with being gay) but I'd much rather have women approaching me. But it kinda made me understand better why girls probably get annoyed or disgusted when guys hit on them.
Especially when I was working in retail. This girl I worked with would tell me that all these gay guys thought I was hot and dress real nice. But then she said for hetero guy its the ultimate compliment or something to that effect.
I could use some advice with the women as well.
But I've definitely noticed that confidence is key. Different girls will be into different types of people but they all want someone confident.
Being able to make them laugh is definitely a plus as well. Being goofy and such makes them feel safe and like you aren't gonna rape them.
My sister has told me before that even if she thought a guy was hot at a bar she would never approach him. But if a guy approaches her it automatically adds points to him. Most girls aren't going to approach a guy so you generally have to be aggressive.
Being able to dance is another good thing. Or at least being able to be confident enough to act goofy on the dancefloor. I guess you just have to really not give a shyte and act like you are dancing by yourself in your house. But women also find it attractive when you actually have moves (that's why women use to find Michael Jackson attractive when he was black).
Pick-up lines don't work unless the intent is to get them to laugh even that only just ensures a conversation.
I think you kinda have to be the center of attention. This will also work in a classroom setting (being a class clown has its benefits as well).
Girls are also attracted to guys who dress well. I've seen some real goblins who just happen to dress well get hot girls.
Likewise, I've also seen goblins who do not dress very well hot girls (I think this might be where having money can help or at least being super confident).
Dude you are gonna be a freshman in college?! You really just have to act like you are the shyte. First thing you do when you get there is try to be as outgoing as possible. I really wish I did this my freshman year (but I had other circumstances beyond my control to deal with, my freshman year sucked bad).
Seriously get to know everyone. If I could go back to freshman year I would've done everything differently but I was a wuss and I was going through a very bad time in my life my first two years of college.
Also don't just limit yourself to meeting girls in bars and clubs. Especially if you are looking for a serious relationship, you can also meet girls in your classes and in the dorms. Although its not always a good idea to sh!t where you eat. I had one friend freshman year who basically fuct almost every goodlookin girl in almost the entire building and there would always some akwardness when he would be in the elevator with one of them chicks.
I don't personally smoke cigs but if you do then I've noticed that it is also a really great way to meet chicks. especially if you are smokin a cig or just chillin outside the dorms or outside of class. I have friends who are smokers who managed to get laid just by bumming cigs or offering cigs to other smokers. I have friends who basically established their whole social networks in college through cigarette smokers.
Those are just some observations I've noticed.

Who said i couldn't both work out and do the other? Seriously i sleep like 5 hours a night only, i got 19 hours awake each day. Thats enough time.dcease wrote:more like...thedole wrote: My arms are decent. I work out quite often these days. I just got home from the gym 3 hours ago
Its my plan to work out 3 times a week for the next 6 months, until college starts. I am already strong, but again need to drop 3-4 kg's.

Its my plan to jerk off 3 times a day for the next 6 months, in preperation for the dismal prospects awaiting me in academia. I am already strong, but again, need to drop 3-4 skeetz a day.
We don't get the show either but based on the girl he picks up in the movie hehei'v never seen the show, only the movie. Im an american and we don't get that over here.
ouchGo to a site for any venue anywhere and notice how they'll have pictures of isolated groups of hot chicks and then the large panned out view of the dance floor and it's all dudes.
Yeah its like a good way to start a dialogue hehe. I think this would really be a good advice. I seem to find they like people who talk up. So just gotta lay of this awkward shyness. I mean usually the first year or so i'm just not saying anything, then it gets much better after that and people get to know me. I'll try to say more in the beginning..First thing you do when you get there is try to be as outgoing as possible. I really wish I did this my freshman year
You're going to be a fresher at college?
That changes the game a bit. You can ignore a lot of advice from some of these smooth old bastards about pulling in bars by staying real cool, just having one drink in the night etc.
Just be where the party is, have fun and try not to worry about it all the time. Girls can smell desparation a mile off.
And I hope for your sake, you're not studying engineering. That didn't do me any favours on the women front. Class ratio: 150 men, 10 women. Ouch. And only 3 lookers. Thta's 50 men and 3 ugly girls for ever attractive girl.

To make it even worse: civil engineering in software development
BUT in the city i'll have a few of my good friends, AND i will live 3 km's from the most infamous/famous nightlife/clubbing street in denmark.
its a 5 year education, but the first 2 years i'll be together with all the biologists ,chemistries? ,physics and so on.
In the 80-90's though, computer people where considered the most boring. Now everybody use computers. Besides, people with that education has one of the highest average incomes in denmark(if not the highest, actually), and the companies are often multinational, so I can fullfill my dream of moving to a foerign country to experience that
---
One of the more successfull clubbing trips i've had was a high school ending party. We were supposed to dress up, so i dressed up as Hitler with a black blouse, sunglasses and a commander-military-hat! A fun reaction was some of the foreign girls who would slap me and tell me i'm such a racist with a smile
I was pretty wasted allready when i made the decision to dress like a nazi, so eh it ended up me waking a mate up at 06 or so, walking to a gas station to pick up some food which by the way got up as quickly as it got down, and then i picked a cap and went home hehe.
also here i invented the sweep-the-dance-floor move with a few others
and damn, i don't think i'll have any more tequilas. I also smashed a glass outside the club where a girl had thrown of her shoes and accidentally walked on it, getting glass splinters in her feet. I also found a couple kissing and just gave them a huge hug then walked away
Fun times though. But hopefully i can manage to make college even crazier (i think so hehe)
edit: and posting this story makes me want to retain anonymousness even more! On the other hand i suppose i'll smack an image to a cover of the next track i'm working on, so what the heck.

Yeah, I'm the exact same way. In high school I was extremely shy (unless I was around my best friends from junior high) for almost the first two years.I think this would really be a good advice. I seem to find they like people who talk up. So just gotta lay of this awkward shyness. I mean usually the first year or so i'm just not saying anything, then it gets much better after that and people get to know me. I'll try to say more in the beginning..
College was no different. Especially if you are going into a big school. There's alot of people so finding your group of people and your comfort zone can be really daunting (this is one of the main reasons people join fraternities).
In general I'm a really shy person especially in new situations and I was so far away from my comfort zone and everyone around me seemed so different and suburban that I just ended up becoming reclusive and kind of a loner freshman year.
You have to really put yourself out there and be outgoing and just be friendly and cool and try to meet as many people as you can and eventually the people you will want to be around will find you.
Likewise, it is helpful to have a good wingman (a best friend or a person you are able to be yourself with and act comfortable and casual with) so you can let your personality and charisma shine through when you're meeting ladies. Obviously, when you feel comfortable it can definitely help you seem more confident.
When you get to college no matter how overwhelming it may be, just remember that everyone there is in the exact same situation you are in: alone, shy, nervous, not knowing anyone etc. and definitely lay off the akward shyness but there will also be alot of other people who will be acting akward and shy as well.
Sh!t I wish someone told me all this crap before college. I got thrown there completely clueless and I realized that I had no social skills. Plus I was extremely depressed because my father was diagnosed with cancer during my first year, that really threw off my whole college experience completely.
Well i suppose i have to thank tone deft. This was actually a great idea, even though i complained a lot in the start heheSh!t I wish someone told me all this crap before college.
Good idea. So very open, not being too shy with telling stuff to people. Its easier on paper than in real life for sure, but i'm spending this year to get ready. Also working out quite a lot again, so i can feel comfortable with myself..You have to really put yourself out there and be outgoing and just be friendly and cool and try to meet as many people as you can and eventually the people you will want to be around will find you.

Actually i tempt to act much less casual with people i know good, and too casual without.
But i started to realize i got quite a special personality, which is indeed good. But it took me two and a half year in high school to figure it out..
Its just that damn shyness and scaredness of new places you know..
Sorry to hear that. I can only imagine how such a thing will make the whole situation much worse..Plus I was extremely depressed because my father was diagnosed with cancer during my first year, that really threw off my whole college experience completely.
girls in my class are right out. im doing radio and telivision arts in school, and we have a class of 25 that works togother everyday for 2 years. it would be sorta like picking up someone in my extended family.
I gotta get out and meet more people from other programs though.
im not usually so shy, but sometimes i keep to myself and people I know.
