midi inputs slightly delayed

I've noticed that now and again my input on my padkontrol shows a serious delay. Also the space bar, when triggering the play button is also delayed. A restart of Live and it goes away again, but i never know when it might come at me again. Very bad for live performance situations, trying to get in time with a DJ or my side kicks laptop.

I'm using a UC33e, Korg Padkontrol with MBP 1.83 core duo and 10.5.2 leopard with live 7.02.
