(I also sense that perhaps more people post music here than listen to it, so I've decided that it's my duty to listen to as much here as I can, since I posed a link myself...it is a shame though, that we don't see more comments).
About THIS track, though. This is not unlike some of the stuff I've made over the past 10 years. I do agree that the percussion is coming through as weak, although the patterns themselves have the necessary groove. I really don't know why it sounds so soft, though.
The more I listen to it, the more I realize that also the bass is thin, some sounds are too upfront while others fall into the background... sounds like there's a phase or EQ problem. Again, I'm not sure what the culprit is, but the mix isn't all there yet. If you're using Ableton then the tools to correct these problems are probably available to you. Please do work on this track and the EQ/mix because musically it is really nice.
