Sounds sweet........what brand/type monitor have you got there?
And of course, yes, working very happily steady on my MacBook, home with lots of plugs, and live, 1 thing though: definitly take 2 gig Ram!!!!
Thanx
Heiko
Is a Macbook (not pro) good enough for Live performance?

I thought you were a PC man. Did you switch or was I mistaken?pulsoc wrote:I've got a 20 inch monitor for home use - only $200! Plus I really like the ultraportability of the macbook. And it is very powerful - just make sure you stick a bunch of ram in there (I have 2.5 gigs right now and it smokes)
It's an Acer I just bought from Tigerdirect for $189. It just arrived today, sitting in my cube waiting to go home with me.
And I still have my PC lappy, but I got the macbook a few months ago. I am using it to record band rehearsals as well as triggering samples and playing synths occasionally. The current "band" set has a few different Reaktor synths, Operator, and Automats open concurrently while recording an input audio channel. The duo core chips are phenomenal
