performance bug if you switch latency

Post by andi_gitarre » Sun Mar 02, 2008 12:52 pm

hey

i use live 7 and i think i found a bug:

i opened a set with just one synth in it. i had a low latency-settings (i think 128 samples). thank i switched to an old project with many plugins and tracks. when i played this set with my current settings i had 70-80%cpu. i changed my settings to 700-800 samples but the cpu-meter still showed me something like 65%. when i shut down live and start again this set everything is fine and the cpu is about 35%.

is it a bug ?? or a mistake of mine?

7.02 or 7.01 being used? Might be coming from different plugin buffer sizes after switching audio buffer sizes and the synth not recognizing the change until you restart. 7.02 should not show this behavior anymore though unless your synth plugin is the culprit.
