Remote SL: "ableton is offline"
Yeh!
Yeh that's true, but I think it does sinc or uses the sinc for something. It does with Reason Cause it has a bars & beats readout. Iether way,you will note that Novation tell you to have the sinc on to have the correct setup & I doubt they say it cause they like the colour of the button. & if it does or doesn't sinc the problems still exist. With the sinc on in 7.02 I get drop outs & glitches. With it off, I don't. But if i work the transport hard or give too many commands, the problems return. Perhaps you don't have the same experience? Maybe you don't use it in the same way, who knows. The point is, it's not working as it should & considering (in my experience) it works prfectly with Live 6.07 then it really should do the same in Live 7. Do you agree?

Re: Hang on
Sorry, you are right, no buttons, there's just the mouse (click and drag) and keyboard (arrow keys) control when you're activating the position control.Damian wrote:Hang on, what FF/rew buttons in Live? There aren't any. I must be tired.
The Remote sends CC 72 (REW) and 73 (FF) to Live in order to control that.
FIXED
Okay I just got a reply from Ableton support & it totally fixed all issues. Maybe you guys knew about this but it's a revelation to me, here it is....
Hello Dami,
it is important to set all MIDI ports to the MME drivers in 7.0.2 if you
use the Remote SL. Please open Live's MIDI/SYNC preferences pane, then
click the small arrow in front of each MIDI port and set the 'port type'
option to 'MME' on all ports.
Best regards,

Hope it works for you guys. I'm gonna give Nico a kiss!

Oh, sorry, didn't I tell you? Damn, I repeated that so very often on this forum now that I forgot to mention the "obvious" first. Don't blame me though, I told 'em during Beta and they didn't want to listen.
(sorry Abes for pocking at that again, but you know that you could easily handle these problems by publishing a "Known Issues" list, don't you?!)

Ive had same issue since i updated my Remote sls os, i wish i hadnt i liked it better b4, esp with pro tools. ive noticed the automap utility is reaking havoc amongst my system, it does not play well with my korg or my trigger finger, it happens to me alot worse in logic though. try restarting computer and keep uneccessary devices (usb/midi) that arent needed unplugged, and power remote sl on/off b4 startin comp. this usually helps me but its a pain when yr in the middle of a session.
mac g5 osx 10.4.11 - ableton 7, logic 8, pro tools 7.4, korg zero 8, novation remote sl, trigger finger, liquid mix, xpoonent/torq
