DFA are the very worst offenders. They stole our sound, homoginized it, and spit it out to the masses. Now you have indie rock kids into disco in 2000, and now they have devoured all those old records, they have been spending the last few years directly stealing from house music, without sharing any credit or resudual money. Give these fucking assholes back their guitars!!!
and this made me actually gag:
tone deft: the rapture arent noobs theyve been around a good few years they did make probably one of the best indie songs that could set a house club dancefloor on fire - house of jealous lovers
Are you fucking kidding me???? this is not music for a house club, and it's pure shite- it's what happens when white rich kids steal black music concepts and style, but can't pull it off. It's been going on as long as the music industry has existed. Jazz, Blues, Rock, Fucking ELvis, you name it. Stolen. They carry a long time torch of profitting off other's creativity without sharing money or credits.
they get NO RESPECT
and if you ask the guys who have been makinghouse music for 20 years, they have never even heard of them.

actually that was me that made that comment, and no im not kidding you, ive been going clubbing in places where house is played for the last 5 years and whenever that song is dropped the place goes mental and the people sing the wordsmorerecords wrote:

.
i think you need to face the fact that everything musical is stolen in some way or another, the only way something will not be stolen is if a musician was the never ever listen to music in his/her life and make a song
the rapture modernised the style and dare i say it "made it cool", have you seen jackson 5 excite a dancefloor in a club?

I know you made that comment. You don't have a clue. That trakck would NEVER be played in a house set. You must be part of the newest era of ripping off black culture. Goddam, there is nothing worse. it wasbetter when rich suburban kids all wanted to be ganstas, cause at ;least we could sit back and laugh at what we managed to market to them. Now we have our classiest styles being stolen.

oh, and yeah, every year in NY they do Prince VS. Michael jackson, and the whole fucking crowd loses it when ABC comes on. Additionally, they have never played jealous lovers at Body and soul, you'll never hear krivit play it. That rapture guy was a busboy at Plant, the douchiest club ever to exist NY. the worst thing to ever happen to our music is to have distributors like Forced exposure making bullshit critiques about what is good or not. We had a great scene for 20 years before these idiots started picking up the copycat "bands" while we were doing our own thing, making decent money, and having GREAT nights at clubs without all the bullshit associated with rich dipshit suburban kids.

its you that doesnt have a clue your stuck in the past, your bitter and you think old is better than new and that new copys the old, and apparantly because of that its shit?, update yourself a little and be aware of what others around you are doing
EDIT: and listen to the reaction the crowd give when they hear the lyrics of jealous lovers coming in, i know the it cuts before the song is on but its the only one i could find

How does DFA not credit the music they're inspired by? The music itself is the tribute. Every kind of music is like this, morerecs. What do you suggest they do to honor the music that came before them? Seriously, I'm curious how you think they should credit the music that inspires them.
You seem really upset. Maybe you should go down to hell's kitchen and treat yourself to a designer cupcake. (please see the humor in that
