That Daft Punk Alive 2007 Effect
That Daft Punk Alive 2007 Effect
There is an effect in the Alive 2007 tracks that sounds like either massive tempo changes (downward) or beat repeat effects... I'm wondering how this is done?
Daft punk uses it a lot on the vocals in Alive 2007, anyone got any ideas...? I'm working on a beat repeat rack but no luck so far.

i know what your talkin bout. its a timestretch thingy.
i havent done it but try:
1. setting up an audio track with warp markers. warp in different modes to see how this affects (prob not re pitch though)
2. slow down tempo. A LOT
this could come close. if not, i know theres a timestretching trick in sampler, but i forgot how it works. i think it involves modifying start or end points of sample.
fuck you know what, you can maybe just put 2 warp markers in an audio loop. play, the start messing with the position of the 2nd marker. take it very far, take it very close. should work, but i dont think its automatable. actually pretty sure its not
good luck

hmm well it should be able to be done in Live as thats what they use
but it could be something maybe on the voyagers as dont they use that for fx? but yeah if its more tempo and beat repeat its probably in live
maybe one of the controls is set for the warping of the vocal track and they just adjust it according together with an effect?

They double everything up for back up reasons, so really only 1 voyager each.
