How do you use your MIDI Program Change?

Just bought an Axiom 25 and I am loving it.

I read the manual on how to send program change messages to your software host. I'm curious - How do you all use program change in Ableton Live?

i have he axiom 25 too... for jammin around and tryin out i use the program change feature a lot - but during my set or any song arrangement it´s useless as it tends to interrupt my midi timing...but maybe i´m doin something wrong...?! hmm. if anybody knows a hint i would be glad to read it here too...
